Festival seeks entertainers

The Spirit of America Festival Committee is now accepting applications for performers and entertainers for the 2008 event.
Applications may be obtained by calling 341-4818 or 341-4904. Forms must be submitted by April 25 and should be accompanied by a sample CD or video, or a link to a web-site where this material can be accessed. Application materials may be mailed to Spirit of America Entertainment Committee, P.O. Box 1776, Decatur, AL 35602. Applications and accompanying material may also be turned in to the Point Mallard Administration Office located at the Point Mallard Ice Rink. If sample material is not available, the performer will need to complete an application and audition for the committee April 26 from 10 a.m.-noon at Party Room no. 1 at the Point Mallard Ice Rink. This audition is only required for those who cannot provide a sample of their performance with their application. Audition times will be scheduled through the Entertainment Committee. The Spirit of America Festival provides entertainers the opportunity to showcase their talents at a well-established event that is a North Alabama 4th of July tradition.
