McMeans, Emerson wed
Jaime Amanda McMeans of Athens and Brandon Mark Emerson of Somerville were wed Nov. 17, 2007, at 6 p.m. at Round Island Baptist Church in Athens.
The bride is the daughter of Butch and Sharon McMeans of Athens.
The groom is the son of Mark and Cam Emerson of Somerville.
The wedding was officiated by Pastor Mike Green, Dewitt Crowe, the groom’s grandfather, and D.A. Emerson, the groom’s grandfather.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal ball gown of champagne colored satin. The strapless gown featured beaded metallic embroidery and a mocha sash. The pick-up skirt swept to a chapel length train. She wore a fingertip length veil with beaded accents. Her bouquet was a cluster of red roses.
Bridesmaids were Amelia Ledlow, Hartselle; Julie Wilkins, Falkville; Anna Boger, Elkmont; Jennifer Chenault, Hartselle; Christy Harp, Danville; and Amber Caver, Hartselle.
Flower girls were Addie Baker, Athens; Kendall Ledlow, Hartselle; and Carlie Wilkins, Falkville.
Best man was Seth Emerson, Falkville, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Nick Ledlow, Hartselle; West Aycock, Hartselle; Larry Couey, Eva; Matt Bailey, Cullman; and Richie Leathers, Hartselle.
Usher was Clay McMeans, Athens, brother of the bride. Ring bearer was D. J. Leathers, Hartselle.
Musician was Donnis Looney, Athens, and vocalists were Raven Fussell, Athens, and Josh Hardin, Alabaster.
The wedding was directed by Kathy Page and Emily Haney. Chanler Crowe and Amee Rose Motter attended the bride’s book.
The reception was held in the church’s fellowship hall. Assisting with the reception were Cindy Bunch, Paulette Carter, Kim Crowe, Darlene Grantland, Nancy Swanner, Peggy Haney, Donna Downs, Janice Motter and Sherry Cooper.
After a honeymoon trip to Monterey, Tenn., the couple resides in Athens.
The couple was honored with several prenuptial events:
Kopf, Byford to wed March 29
Jack Kopf and Diane Kopf of Lincoln, Neb. announce the engagement of their daughter, Natalie Aileen Kopf, to Brett David Byford, son of Joe Byford of Hartselle and Cathy Hignite of Madison.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. And Mrs. Jerry Singleton of Liberty, Neb. and Mr. And Mrs. Dale Kopf of Lexington, Neb. She is a 2006 graduate of the University of Nebraska with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
The future groom is the grandson of Julia Byford and the late Ernest Byford of Hartselle, Mr. And Mrs. Robert Boyer of Banner Elk, NC and the late Fern Munoz of Newton, Kansas.
A 2003 graduate of Hartselle High School, he is a 2007 graduate of the University of Nebraska with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
The wedding is planned for March 29, 2008, at Lincoln Christian Fellowship Church in Lincoln, Neb.
