Funeral for Barbara Compton Sparkman, 78, of Hohenwald, Tenn., formerly of Hartselle, will be Thur., June 28, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Nicky Presnell officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thur., June 28, from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Sparkman died Wed., June 27, 2012 at Lewis County Manor (Nursing & Rahab). She was born April 20, 1934, in Cullman County to Owen G. Lambert and Esther Wright Lambert, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, John O. Compton; two daughters, Beth Compton and Cathy Ward; a sister, Patricia Hargett; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Burgess, Brandon Hendrix, Jimmy Harden, Tim Miles, John Tedford and J.T. Compton.
