A bold faith

By Todd Barrier

Something special happened with Jesus in Luke 18. He was moving through a town and a crowd was following Him, as usual. Amongst the crowd was a blind beggar who wondered what was happening. When he was told Jesus was there, His faith kicked in. He cried out to Jesus to “have mercy on me” (v. 38), the crowd tried to quiet him but he cried out even more (v. 39.) This was bold. He became even more bold when Jesus noticed him and had him brought to Him. Jesus asked him what he wanted from Him and he replied to receive his sight, Jesus gave him his sight back (v. 41-42.) The crowd wanted to quiet him, but the blind man let his faith lead him to Jesus for healing. This was all because his faith in Jesus was bold, he believed Jesus could do what he was asking. Jesus can do anything we ask if it is His will, make your life of faith a bold one because we serve a Savior who can move mountains.
