Local church provides clothes, bicycles to Hartselle children

Special to the Enquirer

This Christmas season, Daystar Hartselle provided new bicycles, clothes and toys to 60 children in the Hartselle area. Outreach director Ginger Cataline said the church connected with the local Foster Adopting Parenting Association to assist children in foster and kinship care programs as well as low-income families in the community.

“We know the holiday season can be difficult for some families and we want the church to be a resource for them,” Cataline said. “Because of the abundant generosity of our church family, these kids will wake to a surprise Christmas morning, but we don’t want it to stop there.

Cataline said the mission of Daystar Church is community transformation through the love and power of Jesus Christ, and it’s something church members are passionate about.

“Our efforts always point back to Jesus and we know that spreading His name and His love is our mission,” she said. “This isn’t limited to the holiday season; it is something our church is passionate about throughout the entire year. We are excited for the expansion of our new building and the opportunity to grow our outreach efforts in the community.”
