Danville community residents are pleased to welcome two new businesses.

The first is Kendra’s Salon, located at 43 College St., Danville. The owners are Cary and Kendra Logan, and their children are Shelby, Austin and Sadie Logan. The salon is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The other new business being welcomed to Danville is Heartland Furniture Company – “Where Some Things Last Forever.” The owners are Jonathan and Annie Mangino. Heartland Furniture specializes in french country, farmhouse and ranch-style table sets.

Corinth West Baptist Church News

The members of Corinth West Baptist Church met Dec. 12 to complete preparation and deliver a chili meal to residents of five communities. Christie Guthrie was in charge of the supper.

The women’s group’s Christmas party was held at Corinth West Baptist Church Dec. 11. The president of the group, Jessia Emerson, coordinated the event. The event was catered by Grumpy’s Italian of Cullman.

Town of Falkville Activities

Falkville’s town hall personnel recently honored two citizens for making a difference:

Philip Thompson volunteers to deliver food and free backpack meals three times weekly for the Morgan County Schools. He also sponsors Family For Christmas. He also maintains the lawn

for Fairview with his own equipment and also offers lawn maintenance for people unable to maintain their lawns.

More than 300 people attended Christmas in the Jack McCaig Park Dec. 5. The hostess Community Pride ladies served hot chocolate and cookies.

The Rev. David Carroll, pastor at Victory Fellowship Church, gave the invocation. Director Bradley Phillips led the Falkville High School Band in playing Christmas songs, and David Halbrooks directed the carols for the song service.

The Tinsel Trail project was coordinated by Brooke Jones and Danielle Hayes this season. A total of 21 people volunteered to decorate trees on the west side of Jack McCaig Park.
