Danville picks up fourth win of season at Elkmont

The Danville Hawks got back in the win column as they ran past the Elkmont Red Devils Friday night.

Carson Crowe led the Hawks’ attacks with a season-high 151 yards rushing and four touchdowns on 16 attempts.

Tanner Colburn got Danville on the board first with a seven-yard touchdown run.

Crowe scored three of his four touchdowns in the second quarter – two on five-yard runs and the third on a four-yarder – to put Danville up 27-0.

Crowe extended the lead to 34-0 with a five-yard run less than three minutes into the second half. Gage Taylor capped the Hawks’ scoring with a six-yard run for a 41-0 lead.

The Red Devils added a touchdown late in the fourth to make the final score 41-7.

Colburn added 74 yards rushing on 15 attempts. Christian Rodriguez had 40 yards rushing, and Kade Taylor added 39 yards on the ground.

G. Taylor finished four of eight for 88 yards and had 21 yards rushing on three attempts. He also picked off an Elkmont pass.

Danville (4-3, 2-2) will welcome Clements (1-6, 1-3) Friday.
