God bless America

“God bless America.” Yes, America needs our prayers more now than ever before.  

We need to put God back in America, the way it was when we had such heroes as Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone. I pray that God will heal our country, and bless America, each and every day!  

Round Top Church Events  

The members of Round Top Community Church will hold their fifth Sunday service Aug. 30 at their morning worship time. This service will be conducted by pastor Pearl Jenkins, and the music will be conducted by Spencer Johnson.  

The plans for Singspiration will be announced at a later date.  

Falkville Library Announcements  

Jenny Asherbranner, Falkville librarian, invites children ages 3 and older to register for the Summer Reading Program and receive a reading log to list the books they have read along with a bag of program supplies.  

The theme for the Summer Reading Program is “Imagine Your Story. 

Area Community News  

Carolyn Puckett, Linda Houston, Jane Hill and Dr. Jerome and Tracy Ward attended a program at Falkville High School auditorium July 25 at 6 p.m. Michael Mason was the visiting evangelist, and special singing was presented by the Living Faith Quartet group.  

The men’s club at Fairview–The Grace Place will attend the Gridiron conference Aug. 2021.  

McKendree United Methodist Church News  

The members of McKendree United Methodist Church will begin their Sunday School classes in August. A discussion was held concerning the combining of the two adult classes that are taught by Carolyn Besnyl and Rhona Summerford. A youth class was also suggested, with the time being at 9:30 a.m. and morning worship at 10:15 p.m.
