June 15 Hartselle police arrested Samantha Lynn Kalka, 30, of Detroit for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.  

The arrest was the result of a traffic stop on Highway 36 at Interstate 65. When an officer approached the vehicle, he reported he could smell marijuana. After searching the vehicle, the officer reportedly located 15 grams of marijuana and 22 grams of cocaine.  

The Morgan County Drug Enforcement Unit responded to the scene and completed the arrest process. 

Kalka was given a $5,000 bond.
