The Hartselle Tigers closed out the home portion of their schedule Thursday night when they hosted the Hazel Green Trojans at JP Cain Stadium for a non-region matchup.

It was Senior Night for the Tigers, and they celebrated the careers of 24 teammates playing their final regular-season home game.

The seniors made sure the Tigers would leave the field victorious one more time, as they led Hartselle in every facet of the game in the 37-6 victory over the Trojans.

The Tigers would extend their lead to 14-0 on one play early in the second quarter, when George connected with Dubose for an 87-yard touchdown pass – their second TD connection of the game.

George got his third touchdown pass of the half when he hit Bodine for a 27-yard pass with 4:08 left in the second quarter.

The Tigers added a 30-yard Crawford Lang field goal as time expired in the second quarter to take a 24-0 lead into halftime.

The Tigers took the second-half kickoff and proceeded to go on an 11-play, 57-yard drive that ended with a Barclay 11-yard touchdown run. Barclay had six carries for 42 yards in the drive that gave Hartselle a 31-0 lead.

Hazel Green got its only score of the night with 10:21 left in the game, when PJ Mahoney scored on a six-yard run to make the score 31-6.

Hartselle answered the Trojan score with another touchdown run from Barclay. He scored from 21 yards out to give the Tigers their final points of the game and a 37-6 final score.

George finished the game eight of 17 for 187 yards and three touchdown passes.
