On Friday, the Tigers opened play in the Morgan County Tournament at Wilson Morgan Park in Decatur. They were in a pool with Priceville and West Morgan.

In the first pool game, the Tigers were matched up with the Lady Bulldogs from Priceville. Hartselle jumped out to an early 5-0 lead. After Priceville cut the lead to two, the Tigers put three more runs on the board in the bottom of the fourth to make the final 8-3. The Tigers were led by Caroline Hill who had three hits, including a double and a triple, with four RBI and a run scored. Kylie Winton added two hits, including a home run, and a RBI. Morgyn Sparkman picked up the win as she allowed three runs on seven hits while striking out one in five innings.

West Morgan was the Tigers opponent in game two of the day. The Tigers once again jumped out to an early 2-0 lead but saw West Morgan score three runs in the bottom of the fourth to take the lead. Hartselle tied the game at four with a run in the top of the sixth only to have the Lady Rebels hit a walk-off double to win the game 4-3. The Tigers struggled to getting anything going offensively as they managed just three hits in the game. Winton, Hill and Lillyanna Cartee each had a hit and a RBI to lead the Tigers. Zoey Crawford got the start and allowed three runs on six hits while striking out one. Jenna Smith picked up the loss in relief as she allowed one run on two hits in a third of an inning.

The Tigers were slated as the 5-seed in the bracket portion of the tournament after finishing 1-1 in pool play. Due to the weather on Saturday, the tournament was cancelled following the first game of the day.

The Tigers record now stands at 18-10 on the season.
