Hartselle woman to raise funds for local children through photography

Jonna Barrier of White Laurel Studios will be hosting a fundraiser for two local children Saturday. Barrier will be offering Christmas photography sessions with Santa for $25 with all proceeds benefitting Hartselle teen, Kooper Rooks and Priceville girl, Lilly Graham. There are no appointments necessary for the photography session, and it will last from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Barrier said she began the fundraiser as a way for one parent to help others. “I can’t imagine how terrifying it is to have a child with cancer, and with bills on top of that,” Barrier said.

Both Rooks and Graham are undergoing treatment at St. Jude’s Hospital in Memphis. Rooks was recently diagnosed with non-hodgkin’s lymphoma and Graham Acute Myleoid Leukemia. White Laurel Studios is located at 241 HWY 31 Suite 4 in Hartselle. Barrier can be reached with additional questions at 256-612-1072.
