New Center News

I’m always fascinated with some of the signs places on the marque outside some of our churches. Saw on once that read “Seven days without prayer makes one weak.”

I recently saw one that read “iPod, iPad, iPhone and iPray.” Most all of you know how I feel about prayer. It is the best way to start off your day!

In James 5:16, it tells us to confess our faults to one another and pray for another and that you may be healed.

Christ has made it possible for us to go directly to God with our petitions. We also find in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to pray without ceasing. In Act 12:5, we find where Paul was kept in prison but prayer was made with ceasing of the church unto God for him. Here we find where the earnest prayer of the church had a significant outcome on the events. Then lastly, Philippians 4:6 tells us “Be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving and let your requests be made known unto God.”

There are many more verses on prayer so take the time and search the scriptures. Prayer changes things, so pray daily and with confidence.

Christian love and sympathy is extended to the family of Rachel Waddle. She was preceded in death by her son, John Waddle.
