Danville downs rival Priceville

The Danville Lady Hawks got a win over their cross county rival Priceville thanks to two runs in an extra inning.

Danville took the lead in the first inning thanks to a sacrifice bunt from Emma Broadfoot to score Morgan Weatherwax. Priceville tied the game up thanks to an RBI single from Sara Beth Wilson to score Kathleen Wheeler. Danville retook the lead with an RBI single from Savanna Pelfrey to score Savanah Free. The Hawks then pushed their lead to 3-1 after another RBI single from Morgan Weatherwax to score Laney Coker. Priceville tied the game in the bottom of the sixth with a two run homer from Reagan Walter, which eventually sent the game into extra innings. Danville took the lead in the top of the eighth thanks to a two run shot from Grace Cobb, and the Hawks held on to win 5-3.  Savanna Pelfrey got the win for Danville on the mound. Pelfrey gave up just one hit and no runs in one and a half innings pitched. Laney Coker pitched most of the game for Danville. She gave up eight hits and three runs with seven strikeouts in six and a half innings pitched.

Danville 2, West Limestone 3:

The Lady Hawks dropped a wild eleven-inning game to area foe West Limestone thanks to a walk off single. Danville took the lead first thanks to an RBI single from Savanah Free. West Limestone tied the game in the sixth to eventually send the game into extra innings. After three scoreless extra innings, Danville took the lead in the top of the 11th inning when Savanna Pelfrey scored which put the Hawks up 2-1. However, West Limestone ended up taking the win in the bottom of the 11th 3-2.

Danville 14, Henderson County (KY) 4:

Danville dominated Henderson County thanks to a huge seven run inning. Callie Ryan and Emma Broadfoot both had three hits in the game while Ryan finished with three RBIs. Savanna Pelfrey got the win for Danville. She gave up two hits and four runs with five strikeouts.

Danville 3, Pisgah 11:

The Pisgah Lady Eagles gave the Lady Hawks all they could handle in this game. Pisgah led 8-1 after five innings. Morgan Weatherwax finished the game with one hit and two RBIs.

Danville 10, Lawrence County 9:

Danville grabbed the lead in the fourth inning to take the win in this game. Lawrence County led 7-0 after the first three and a half innings, before Danville came roaring back. Laney Coker led the Hawks with three hits and four RBIs. Emma Broadfoot also had four RBIs in the game. Savanna Pelfrey got the win on the mound.

Danville 2, Madisonville (KY) 19:

Madisonville got 10 runs in the first inning to help take the win in this game. Josey Meherg took the loss for the Hawks in this game.
