New Center News

Do you ever feel sorry for yourself? Seems that everything is going in the wrong direction and you don’t know how to change things? In 2 Corinthians 4:8-10, Paul reminds us that even though we think we are at the end of our rope, we are never at the end of hope. God never abandons us. We can have eternal life because He has already won the victory over death. Even like Paul we face trials and stressful situations. We often find ourselves placing our focus on our pain rather than allowing God to demonstrate his power and presence through us. As children of God no matter what happens to us in this life we have the blessed hope and assurance of eternal life where all of suffering will end. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; (9) we are perplexed, but not in despair; a persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; (10) always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
