A swamp John’s will be held at First Baptist Church on March 3 at 4 – 7 p.m. The dinner consists of fish, shrimp, or chicken with fries, slaw, hushpuppies, tea, and deserts. Cost is $ 11 for the dinner.

Chad and Margate Halbrooks announced the arrival of their son River Chad Halbrooks on Jan. 6, 2017. To welcome him home were his sister, Maggie Mag and his brother Gunner. J.D. and Leigh Henslee announced the arrival of their son Wyatt James Henslee on Jan. 17, 2017. He was welcomed by his brother Jase.

The youth of First Baptist Church Falkville held a progressive dinner Jan. 20 It was a night of getting to know church members outside of the church environment. The dinner was conducted by the youth director Patrick Smith.

Libby’s restaurant at Priceville was the meeting place for 1952 Falkville High School Graduates Breakfast. Attending were Scott and Betty Wilson Parker, Kenneth and Betty Appleton Harper, Franklin and Sue Harrison, Sarah Hadley Gains, Shirley Cooper, Charlotte Evans Wise, and Ray and Betty Sanders.
