Funeral for Johnie D. Long, 84, of Hartselle was Wed., April 27, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Long and Bro. Greg Standridge officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Long died Mon., April 25, 2016, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born July 2, 1931, in Morgan County to James Edward Orme and Harriet Mae Muzzey Orme. She was formerly employed as a Medical Transcriptionist for Hartselle Medical Center. She and her husband, Hoyt, were married for more than 66 years, they enjoyed traveling and camping together. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jimmy Orme.

She is survived by her husband, Hoyt Long of Hartselle; two daughters, Ginger Anders of Notasulga and Jan Kyker of Wascom, Texas; two grandchildren, Heather Kane and Michael Kyker; and a great-grandchild, Samantha Kane.

Pallbearers were family members.
