All Morgan county teams were in action last week as they played in their respective area tournaments.

The Brewer boys faced off with Arab first and won by a score of 46-38. They advanced to the finals to play Lee-Huntsville where they lost 77-27. They advanced to Sub-Regionals to play Muscle Shoals. The Brewer girls also played Arab, won 45-43, and went on to face Lee-Huntsville where they lost 58-45. They advanced to Sub- Regionals to play Athens.

The Falkville boys fell in the first round of the area tournament by a score of 93-57 to Cold Springs. The Falkville girls also lost to Cold Springs 47-41.

The Danville boys narrowly lost in the first round of area to Hamilton by a score of 44-39. The Danville girls won their area championship by defeating the Haleyville Lions by a score of 86-51. They advanced to sub-regionals to play Wilson.

The Priceville boys defeated North Jackson in the first round of area by a score of 88-66. They lost in the finals to Westminster 54-46 and played Locust Fork in sub regionals. The Priceville girls also defeated North Jackson in the opening round 81-34 but lost to Westminster 52-48. They also advanced to play Locust Fork in sub-regionals.

The Hartselle boys played Austin in the opening round of the area tournament. It was a competitive matchup but Hartselle would eventually fall 60-42. The Hartselle girls defeated Decatur 60-36 in the opening round but lost to Austin 57-47 in the championship. They advanced to sub-regional to play Jackson Olin.
