Funeral for William Johnny Hankins, 74, of Hartselle was Sun., Feb. 7, at 2 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Henderson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Oleander United Methodist Church Cemetery in Morgan City.

Mr. Hankins died Sat., Feb. 6, 2016, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born May 5, 1940, in Morgan County to Murphy Lee Hankins and Minnie Frances Briscoe Hankins. He had been employed by Daniels Construction as an insulator. He was preceded in death by a son, Jamie Hankins.

He is survived by a son, John Anthony Hankins; a daughter, Melissa Hankins; two sisters, Shirley Adkins (Paul) and Bessie Breeding; and two grandchildren.
