Esther Mae Ridgeway

Funeral for Esther Mae Ridgeway, 92, of Decatur was Tues., Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel in Albertville with Brian White and her great-grandson Larry McCutcheon officiating and Adams Brown Service Funeral Home directing.

Entombment followed in the Rainbow Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Attalla.

Mrs. Ridgway died Sun., Oct. 4, 2015, at her home in Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. O.J. Ridgeway; a son, Don Ridgeway; beloved son-in-law, Larry Cofield; parents, Minitt and Suzy Moore; five sisters; and three brothers.

Mrs. Ridgeway is survived by her daughters, Sue Cofield Franklin (John) and Helen Houston; special daughter, Glendia Barber; grandchildren, Glenda Kaye Houston, Dana Cofield McCutcheon (Jeff), Ginger Cofield Carr (Nikia) and David Cofield (Vanessa); 10 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were David Cofield, Jeff McCutcheon, Nikia Carr, Justice Cofield, Dell Yarbrough and Chris Patterson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Southern Care Hospice of Decatur or American Diabetes Association.
