Funeral  for Jean Brown “Baby Jean,” 83, of Somerville will be Fri., July 3, at 2 p.m. at Union Church of Christ, 4626 Hwy 36 East, Somerville with Bro. Tom Larkin officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be Fri., July 3, from noon to 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Red Oak Cemetery.

Mrs. Brown died Tues., June 30, 2015, at her residence. She was born June 5, 1932, in Morgan County to Ernest “Pug” Johnson and Ona Huskey Johnson. Mrs. Brown was self-employed as a caregiver. She was a member of Union Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents and her past husbands, J.D. Skillington and Jim Brown.

She is survived by a son, Wayne Skillington (Lorie) of Texas; two daughters, Kim Brown Bewley (Richard) of Somerville and Linda Brown of Athens; three grandchildren, Tim, Nick, and Mike.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family extends a special thank you to Julie Mann, Carolyn Beasley and to all the staff of Asera Care Hospice. There are not enough words to express our gratitude. Your kindness, dedication and compassion will be remembered always.
