Billy ‘Joe’ Hardin

June 28, 2015

Funeral for Billy “Joe” Hardin, 62, will be Wed., July 1, at Fairview “The Grace Place” at 1 p.m. with Dr. Milan Dekich officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. The body will lie in state for two hours prior to the service.

Burial will be in Jones Cemetery.

Mr. Hardin died Sun., June 28, 2015. He fought a hard battle with esophageal cancer and he is now resting with his Heavenly Father and in no longer suffering. He worked 30 years at Delphi and loved the guys he worked with, many were like family. He loved his own family and grandchildren and looked forward to their family vacation so they could all be together for a week under one roof. He was the one that could make everyone laugh when he wasn’t even trying because he was very quick-witted. He had the kindest, biggest heart and gave many dollars in secret to people who were having a hard time because he was always willing to help. He enjoyed his church family at Fairview “The Grace Place” and always looked forward to the small group that he and his wife were involved with. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Hardin and his father, Herman Hardin.

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 42 years, Paula Alston Hardin; two daughters, Hannah Witt (Tim) and Haley Roberts (Matt); five grandchildren, Landon Terry, Jackson Roberts, Rhett Roberts, Tyde Witt and Saban Witt; his mother, Edna Pitt Hardin; a brother, Rickey Hardin (Sandy); and a sister, Sarah Hardin Holmes (Benny).

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Fairview “The Grace Place” Falkville or to The American Cancer Society.
