Blake Hampton believes the key to Hartselle’s success in 2015 will be due to the fact that they are a close-kit bunch.

“We encourage each other to do the best that we can,” Hampton said. “I think that’s our biggest strength as a team.”

Hartselle boys golf coach Chad Gladden said this is one of his biggest and most experienced teams that he’s coached in his over 10-year tenure.

“Most of them grew up playing golf,” Gladden said. “I think all but one of them are members of a golf course. Several of them have been on the high school golf team since they were seventh graders. We probably have more experience that we’ve ever had.”

In addition to Hampton, the senior class includes Caleb Ryan and Connor Pheny. The junior class is comprised of Garrett Reist and Jake Tiffin while the sophomore class is made of Jordan Hartsell, Maquire Pope and Bryan Garber.

Rounding out the squad are freshmen Parker Wright and Ross Napier and eighth grader Parker Reist.
