Funeral for Melanie Gwen Rogers, 49, will be Sun., Jan. 18, at 1 p.m. at the Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Phillips officiating and Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Falkville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Sun., Jan. 18, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rogers died Thur., Jan. 15, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 17, 1965 in Limestone, Maine. She was born to Mary Sellers and the late Edward A. Rogers I. For the last sixteen years, she was a beloved stepdaughter to the late Arthur Sellers of Decatur. Mrs. Rogers lived courageously and faithfully during her illness and loved life and people. She brings a lightness of hope with our grief; John 14:13.

She is survived by two children, Shea Chamness (Chuck Dutton) and Allen Chamness (Erin), all of Pensacola, Fla.; four grandchildren, Maysn, Carsen, Kiely, and Kaeden; her significant other, Robbie Reese of Meridian, Miss.; two sisters, and two brothers, Rhonda Rogers of Oak Island, NC, Edward A. Rogers II, (Minna) of Falkville, Rodney Rogers (Mary) of Danville, Lori Culp (Mark) of Union Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews.
