Falkville library cancels computer classes

Victory Fellowship Church, located on East Pike in Falkville has Sunday morning at 10 a.m., midweek Wednesday services at 7 p.m. and first and third Sunday night at 5 p.m. The minister is David Carroll.

Computer classes at Falkville Public Library have been cancelled.

Herman Gibson was honored on his birthday with a dinner at his home. His wife, Adell, was the hostess.

Guests were Wayne and Gail Howard, Franklin and Sue Harrison and Howard Gibson.

Visiting with Herman and Adell Gibson have been J.C. and Margaret Dunaway of Priceville.

Members of Falkville Senior Center extend birthday wishes to Clezell Asherbranner Nov. 29.

Brian and Carol Murphy and daughter Autumn of Tuscaloosa and Susie Dean were the luncheon guests for O’Neal and Margaret Murphy.

Elated birthday wishes are extended to Susie Dean Nov. 18 from her parents, O’Neal and Margaret Murphy and to Breanna Dean, their granddaughter. Her special day was Nov. 19.

Members of First Baptist Church Falkville extend belated birthday wishes to Amber Leigh Woods Nov. 23, Mary Ann Copeland, Nov. 25, Dorothy Clark, Nov. 25, Gayle Holcombe, Nov. 27, Don Nelson and Ellie Hill, both on Nov. 29.

Judy Gover was hostess at a Thanksgiving dinner at her home Nov. 10. Thirty-four women from First Baptist Church Falkville attended.

Guests dined on turkey and all of the trimmings.

The Young at Heart of First Baptist Falkville held their November meeting at the church recently.

Enjoying a lunch of delicious homemade soups and other delicacies were: Bob Ramey, Mike and Debra Thompson, Joe and Fran Edmundson, Georgia and Bruce Triese, Dwight and Linda Alldredge, Alfred and Linda Ryan, June Walling, Joyce Mealson, Dorothy Lott, Barbara Fields, Lavonia Stisher, Lisa Vest, John Moore, Margaret Ayre, Geraldine Rowe and Dean Nelson and Karla Burcham.
