Falkville girls 36, Woodville 50

Falkville girls basketball team (0-2) was hampered with fouls in the opening quarter and never able to recover as they lost 36-50 to Woodville on the road Nov. 18.

“Two of our starters got into foul trouble early and had to sit out the rest of the first half,” said Falkville head coach Jeff Andrews. “We played better in the third quarter and managed to get their lead down to eight points with about three minutes to play. After that, we had to start fouling, and they converted 18 free throw attempts.”

Bailey Anders paced the Lady Blue Devils in scoring with nine points. Emily Mickelson and Autumn Eddy each had six points, Jacie Andrews had five, Kaitlyn Boyer and McKenzie Newman each had four and Britni Bell had two.

 

Falkville boys 55, Woodville 33

 

Falkville’s Blue Devil boys (1-1) grabbed an early lead and went on to defeat Woodville 55-33 on the road Nov. 18.

Falkville was ahead 19-12 at halftime and 36-21 after three quarters.

Ryan Sullivan led the Blue Devils in scoring with 17 points.
