A memorial service for Milton Thomas Smith Sr., 70, of Falkville will be Sat., April 19, at New Hope North Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry Freeman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Smith died Tues., April 15, 2014, at his residence. He was born Oct. 27, 1943, in Morgan County to Elga Jerome Smith and Ruby Dora Lackey Smith. He was formerly employed by Lummus Building & Lumber Company. Mr. Smith was a member of Bell Springs Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael David Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Newton Smith; two sons, Milton Thomas Smith Jr. and Greg Smith; three daughters. Susie Gerstman, Lisa Sain and Amanda Knott; a brother, Charles Smith; a sister, Shirley Roy; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
