Tigers golf picks up tourney wins

Tiger golfers place fifth in Huntsville

Hartselle’s Tigers claimed fifth place in a 15-team field of golfers at the Huntsville Metro Invitational Golf Tournament at the Highlands Golf Course in Hampton Cove April 2.

Robbie Fields shot a 69 to lead the Tigers. Blake Hampton followed with an 80, Jordan Hartsell shot 81, Jake Tiffin 82 and Garrett Reist 83.

Their overall score of 312 was 15 shots under the winner Fort Payne.

HHS golf team winner at Arab

Hartselle High School’s boys golf team shot a combined 312 and captured championship honors at the Arab Invitational Golf Tournament at Cherokee Ridge Golf Tournament on March 29.

Russellville finished second with a 316 score.

Jordan Hartsell led the Tigers with a 73, Robbie Fields followed with a 77 while Jake Tiffin scored 77 and Garrett Reist shot 83.
