Danville takes down Brewer in softball

Danville’s Lady Hawks racked up 19 hits and defeated Brewer 14-10 in a road game April 1.

Morgan Weatherwax paced Danville in hitting with a pair of doubles, a single, four RBIs and scored twice. Callie Ryan had a triple, double, three RBIs and scored a run.

Kellee Stiles doubled twice, had an RBI and scored a run. Savannah Bolton had three singles, two RBIs and scored twice. Kristen Dobbins, singled twice, had an RBI and scored twice. Chelsea Hill had four singles, an RBI and scored three times.

Reagan Burcham doubled and scored a run. Hannah Grace Sherrill had an RBI single and scored a run while Sloan Lindsey singled and scored a run.

Weatherwax was the winning pitcher. She allowed 10 runs on seven hits while striking out three batters and walking three. Bolton started on the mount, pitching two innings. She allowed no runs on two hits while striking out two batters.

Brewer hitters were: Morgan Childers, triple, single and four RBIs; Morgan Wilson, two singles, an RBI and one run scored; Taylor Ledbetter, two singles, two RBIs and one run Madison Evans, single and one run scored; Kayla Roberts, sing and two runs scored; and Anna Spark, single.

Wilson allowed 14 runs on 19 hits and walked a batter.
