Crestline principal puts faith on line to boost cancer drive

Crestline principal Robin Varwig is putting her faith on the line as a supporter of Hartselle’s Relay for Life.

She has challenged “Team Crestline” to reach a goal of $5,000 and agreed to dive out of an airplane (tandem) and land on the school grounds in the event that goal is reached.

She has also offered a pie in the face challenge to her students. For every $20 each child turns in from the sale of $1 donations for Stars and Moons tags, she will take a pie in the face.  The same offer applies to the sale of four luminaries ($5 each), Sky Lantern, $25 each; and Torch of Hope ($100) five pies in the face.

Last year, Term Crestline raised $4,400/

Students and faculty will celebrate the 2014 Relay for Life with a recess relay on Thurs., May 8. This will be a time to walk in memory or honor of those whose lives have been touched by cancer. Each class will walk at a different time and family members are invited to accompany them. At the same time, qualifying students wlll be able to pie Mrs. Varwig
