A graveside service for Lavirne Fowler, 89, of Eva was Tues., Feb. 11, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Tabor Cemetery with the Rev. Clyde Ledlow officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Fowler died Sat., Feb. 8, 2014. She was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Morgan County to James Curtis Lawrence and Ester Louise Lawrence. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James A. Fowler; and a son, Ronnie Fowler.

She is survived by a son, Tommy Fowler of Eva; a brother, Harold Gene Lawrence of Kingsport, Tenn.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
