Neal G. Freeman

Funeral for Neal G. Freeman, 81, of Lacey’s Spring will be Fri., Jan. 3, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Eric Mattox officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Valhermoso Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Thur., Jan. 2, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Freeman died Tues., Dec. 31, 2013 at his residence. He was born May 23, 1932, in Lawrence County to John G. Freeman and Lela A. Rone Freeman. Mr. Freeman was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Baptist faith. He formerly worked for John Blue Company and A. C. Company, as a Machine Shop Supervisor and in Quality Control. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Majorie Ruth Freeman of Cotaco; three sons, Neal “Glenn” Freeman, Jr. (Evie) of Laceys Spring, Robert “Bob” Freeman (Cherryle) of Cotaco and Phillip “Phil” Freeman of Lacey’s Spring; two daughters, Carmon Black (Stanley) of Union Grove and Carron Cagle (Lem) of Priceville; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chris Johnson, Eric Johnson, Derrick Black, Nick Freeman, Matt Crafton and Josh Freeman.
