Man charged in home burglary

Morgan County sheriff’s deputies have arrested and charged a man in connection with a home burglary in the Falkville area on June 25.

James Reeves Jr. was arrested Aug. 17 and charged with burglary II. He was remanded to Morgan County jail where he is being held under a $5,000 bond.

On June 13, a 25-year-old woman was home alone at her Mill Creek Road residence when a white male kicked in the door and entered around 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon, according to information released by Sheriff Ana Franklin. When the suspect saw the woman, her left on foot.

Investigator Sgt. Chad Smith was assigned to the case and responded. Upon canvassing the area, he was able to identify the suspect from eye witness statements.
