Childers, Bailey exchange vows

Sharon Ann Childers and Christopher Lee Bailey were married Oct. 21, 2012, at 4 p.m. in an outdoor ceremony at The Wedding Chapel on the Mountain in Huntsville with the Rev. J. Glen Laird officiating.

A reception followed in the Magnolia Room.

The bride is the daughter of David and Cindy Childers of Hartselle. She is the granddaughter of the late Louis Schwartz and Mary Schwartz of Kansas City, Mo., Patricia Schwartz of Kansas City, Kan., and the late Truel Childers and Helen Childers of Falkville.

The groom is the son of Paul and Rebecca Bailey of Abingdon, Md. He is the grandson of Bruce and Pauline Bailey of Austin, Minn., Irvin and Shirley Schallau of Steamboat Rock, Iowa, and the late Bernadene June DeVries Schallau.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, David Childers.

Matron of honor was Samantha Cherni of Huntsville, best friend of the bride. Flower girl was Caroline Zemnes of Madison, friend of the couple.

Best man was Andy Hug of Jacksonville, best friend of the groom. Ring bearer was Carter Zemnes of Madison, a friend of the couple.

Floral designer was Kelly Dumas of Blooms in Hartselle and photography was provided by Keith Zemnes.

The Sunday School class of Shirley Tucker and ladies of First Baptist Church in Hartselle hosted a miscellaneous bridal tea Sept. 9, 2012.

A family pre-wedding dinner was held Oct. 20, 2012, at Connors Steak and Seafood at Bridge Street in Huntsville, hosted by the parents of the groom.

After a honeymoon in Franklin, Tenn., the couple is residing in Huntsville.
