Victory Fellowship to hold singing

Victory Fellowship Church services are listed as follows: worship and singing service at 10 a.m., children’s church at 11 a.m. and Wednesday service at 7 p.m.

Members have painted all of the rooms at the church.

They also donated some topsoil to Falkville School and South Park.

Enjoying a senior citizen luncheon at Cracker Barrel last Wednesday were Faye Anders, Clezell Asherbranner, Patsy Clemmons, Martha Garrison, Movlyn Roberson, Vivian Summerford, Shirley Sauter, Charles and Linda Williams, Terry and Jeannie Kelsey, Martha Asherbranner, Gayle Wallace, J.L. and Patsy Pike, Jackie Turney the bus driver, Barbra Asherbranner the senior citizen site manager and Debra Garner.

Falkville Public Library’s reading program has been set for July 2-25. The title of the program is “Dig In and Read.” The event will be at the Falkville Town Hall courtroom, beginning at 2 p.m. on Tuesdays.

Helen Sterbutzel will be the special speaker on July 11.

Cook’s Pest Control will present a program on underground animals on July 18 and Vulcan Materials will present a program on fossils on July 25.

The program is open to all ages. There will be no program on July 4. For more information, contact the Falkville Library at 256-784-5822.

Brian and Carol Murphy and daughter Autumn of Tuscaloosa were the recent guests of his parents, O’Neal and Margaret Murphy. Autumn Murphy celebrated her 11th birthday with a party at a Cullman restaurant on June 10.

She is the granddaughter of O’Neal and Margaret Murphy. Fourteen guests extended the birthday girl best wishes. Lynn and Susie Dean, Summer and Breanna, all of Hartselle, Adam Novak and O’Neal and Margaret Murphy and Brian, Carol and Autumn also enjoyed going fishing.

A fifth Sunday night singing will be held at Victory Fellowship Church in Falkville on June 30 at 6 p.m. with Pastor David Carroll. Church choirs from the community will include, First Baptist of Falkville, Falkville United Methodist, Gandy’s Cove United Methodist, Pine Street Baptist Church, Falkville First Faith, Fairview: The Grace Place, Roundtop and Mt. Zion.
