Inspections continuing at Hartselle High

State inspectors are continuing their inspections at the new Hartselle High School this morning.

School Superintendent Dr. Mike Reed said he hopes the inspection will be complete by lunchtime.

“I would like for it to be completed by lunchtime today, but I can’t guarantee that,” Reed said in a short phone interview this morning.

If the school passes inspection, the school will open as scheduled Monday at 9:30 a.m.

According to the school website, here is what students can expect on Monday:

Students should report to the new campus by 8:15 a.m. and gather in the varsity gym. Students will receive schedules with new locations, a new locker and combination, school map, and other pertinent information about the new facility. All students park in areas with white lines. Some of our parking areas will not be ready until June, but we have just enough to make it through the school year. Parking is first come, first served, so give yourself plenty of time to park and get to class. ALL vehicles must use the Bethel Road entrance. Parents dropping off students will enter, drop off their student near an entrance, circle around the parking area and exit via Bethel. Again, allow yourself extra time until people adjust and traffic patterns settle into a routine.
