Morgan Commission OKs aerial photo upgrade

•Approved payment of $350 to the Decatur/Morgan County Minority Development Association as a donation to the 2013 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Breakfast, The event is scheduled for Jan. 21, 2013.

•Appoved payment of $131,320 to LeaseSouth LLC for principal and interest payment on a lease to be paid from Environmental Services funds.

•Approved the final payment of $400,000 to the Downtown Decatur Arts Center, payable out of the Capital Improvement Fund.

•Authorized the chairman to execute the Standard Software Maintenance Agreement with the New World Systems Corp., effective 2-1-12 through 1-31-15.

•Authorized District 1 Commissioner Jeff Clark to fill a vacant position of equipment operator 3, Grade 7, $16.04 to $20.94.

•Authorized the chairman to execute an amendment to the Administrative Services Agreement between the county and Blue Cross, Blue Shield of Alabama, effective Oct. 1, 2012.

•Approved certificate to subdivide property for Jushua Turrentine, Lawrence Cove Rd., Dist. 3 and Dianna H. Cook and Margaret Hinds Raymond, Plymouth Rock Rd., Dist. 4.

•Authorized the chairman to advertise for bids to provide all equipment, software, labor and maintenance support required for the implementation and operation of an integrated inmate telephone service at the Morgan County Jail.

•Authorized a refund of sales tax in the amount of $1,490.36 to Altec Industries Inc. for the month of Sept., 2012.

•Canceled the regular commission meeting of Tues, Jan. 22 and adjourned to meet again on Thurs., Jan. 24, at 9 a.m.
