Morgan Commission OKs aerial photo upgrade

The commission acted on other matters as follows:

•Elected District 3 Commissioner Don Stisher to serve as vice chairman of the commission during 2013. The position rotates from one district to the other on an annual basis.

• Approved payment of $2,513 to S.S. Nesbitt & Co. for a surety bond for Sue Baker Roan, Morgan County Commissioner of licenses.

•Approved payment of $47,945 to New World Systems for Financial Management and Human Resources Software for the period of Feb. 1, 2013, through Jan. 31, 2014, payable out of commission office funds.

•Approved payment of $450 to the Alabama Recreation & Parks Association for 2013 membership dues for Bruce Lackey, Morgan County Parks & Recreation director.

•Approved payment of $397 to Peck-Glasgow Agency for a public officials bond for Julie Reeves, chief deputy administrator, effective Dec. 17, 2012, through Dec. 17, 2013.

• Approved payment of $6,835.97 to Trident Insurance for an insurance deductible on a claim for Glenda Lockhart, Sheriff’s Department.

•Approved payment of $4,501 to TTL Inc. for professional services for the Morgan County Jail Annex project, effective Oct. 23, 2012, through Nov. 25, 2012, payable out of the Capital Improvement Fund.

•Approved payment of $1,760 from King Insurance Agency for a surety bond for Greg Cain, Judge of Probate, for the period of Jan. 15, 2013, through Jan. 15, 2019.
