Cordova at Danville game notes

Series: First meeting

Senior night for Danville: The Hawks will honor their seniors tonight before their final home game against Cordova. In previous years, the Blue Devils have been among the best in Class 3A, but this year is different. Cordova is still looking for its first win.

It hasn’t been easy: Danville has been the epitome of cardiac kids this year. Four of the Hawks’ games have been decided by five points or less, winning two and losing two. Danville has scored 113 points and allowed 116 points. Expect Cordova to give Danville all they want again this week.

Staying alive in playoff hunt: Danville still has a legitimate shot at making the playoffs, but it all comes down to the next two games. The Hawks must defeat Cordova tonight and then win at Hanceville next week. If you lose one of the two, then you would have to defeat No. 4 Hamilton to have a shot.
