Lola Bert Stroup Puckett

Funeral for Lola Bert Stroup Puckett, 105, of Danville will be Mon., Sept. 24, at 3 p.m. at the funeral home and will be officiated by Bro. Tom Salter and Bro. Donnie McDonald.

Visitation will be Mon., Sept. 24, from 2-3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home. Burial will be at Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Puckett was a member of Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Puckett died Sept. 21, 2012, at River City Health and Rehab. She was born in Morgan County on Nov. 17, 1906, to Joe Stroup and Alice Rogers Stroup. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy B. Puckett; her parents; and two brothers, Cutis Stroup and Clarence Stroup.

She is survived by a daughter, Hazel Puckett Lindsey and husband Kenneth; grandchildren, James Howard Harton and Jennifer Harton Woods and husband Darren; great-grandchildren, James Kenneth Harton and wife Deborah, Lindsey William Woods and wife Jo and Krystle Woods Robinson and husband Clay; great-great-granddaughters: Chelsey Brooke Woods and Briley Jade Woods; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be James Howard Harton, James Kenneth Harton, Lindsey Williams Woods, Darren A. Woods, Clifford Sheppard and Billy Kirby.
