Glenn Lang new principal At Falkville High School
Glenn Lang, a veteran Morgan County teacher, coach and administrator, has assumed the position of principal at Falkville High School.
He was appointed to the position by the Morgan County Board of Education at its last regular meeting on July 19. He replaces Sue Wood who retired.
Lang, 51, was principal at Danville-Neel Elementary School for eight years prior to his reassignment. Prior to that, he was a math teacher, assistant football coach and head baseball coach at Falkville High for three and one-half years, head football coach at West Morgan High for three and one-half years and head football and baseball coach and a physical science teacher at Brewer High School—his alma mater—for 13 years.
“It was hard to leave Danville-Neel School because Danville is such a great community and they give such strong support to their schools,” Lang said. “It was a great community partnership.”
“But I’m excited to be here and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to build a strong working relationship with the teachers, support personnel, students and parents,” he added. “I want the students to know that I’m here for them and want to help them in anyway I can to meet graduation requirements and become successful citizens no mater what career path they choose.”
