Turn back your clock Saturday night

I recently had the opportunity to attend the 12th annual Ladies Celebration in Pensacola, Fla., sponsored by Pensacola Christian College with several ladies from our church. We enjoyed hearing speakers Mina Oglesby of Chattanooga, Tenn. And Francine Taylor of Rosemont, Minn. The accommodations were wonderful along with the meals. The weather was in the 75-80 degree range and we all had a great time at Camp O’ the Pines.

Christian love and sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Mary Prater, a member of New Center Baptist Church, who passed away recently.

Happy birthday wishes go out this week to Brock Wilson and Ethan Cobbs, both on Nov. 1, Susie Blankenship on Nov. 2, Virgie Hopper on Nov. 3, Justin Creese and Donna Robertson, both on Nov. 4, Cayden Berry on Nov. 5, Katie Barton and Lauren Smith, both on Nov. 6, Sierra Free, Evelyn Matthews, Lewis Fichter, Royce Goree and Vince Lamberti, all on Nov. 7, Pat Creel and Dewayne Holmes, both on Nov. 8 and Roxanne Chisgar on Nov. 9.

Happy birthday wishes go out to my aunt, Eldora Maples, who celebrated her birthday on Nov. 1.

Happy wedding anniversary to Huey and Becky Shelton on Nov. 1, Jay and Laura Livingston on Nov. 2, Von and Margaret Yeager on Nov. 3, Bruce and Angela Boswell and Jeremy and Aubrie Parker, both on Nov. 8, and Richard and Jennifer Herbert on Nov. 9.

Don’t forget that Daylight Savings Time ends Saturday night. Turn back your clocks one hour on Saturday before you go to bed.
