Honor Guard recognized

The Morgan County Association of Volunteer Fire Departments has an Honor Guard consisting of 20 members. They represent Brindlee Mountain, Florette, Lacey’s Spring, Massey, Mud Tavern, Oak Ridge, Oden Ridge, Rock Creek, Priceville, Talucah. Tri-County and Trinity Volunteer Fire Depart-ments. Officers are Stephanie Harrison, chairperson; Brandon Jones, commander; John Fennel, co-commander; Marion Studer, secretary-treasurer; Jason Haggard, sergeant-at-arms; Robert McCutcheon, public relations; and Steve Wilson, chaplain.
The init strives to maintain the highest level of discipline, appearance and training in order to carry out its mission to honor and remember their fallen brothers and sisters. The unit is available on request for funeral details, dedication ceremonies and parades. It is a non-profit organization and donations are welcomed and appreciated.
Special belated happy wedding anniversary wishes go out to Paul and Emma Martin.They en-joyed celebrating their 23rd anniversary Feb. 23.
Special belated happy birthday wishes go out to Dewayne Eddy and Tho-mas Josiah Johnson, both on Feb. 21.
Happy birthday wishes go out to Blondie Morris, Charlice LaFavor, Will-liam Logan and Chey-anne Terrell, all on Feb. 25.
Belated happy birthday wishes go out to Danville-Neel  teacher Jane Knight. She enjoyed celebrating her special day on Feb. 12.
Please put Curtis Garner, who has cancer, on your prayer list.  My prayer is that God will bless and cure him.
Students at Danville-Neel Elementary School will participate in “Read Across America” Feb. 28-March 4.
Shady Grove Baptist Church members paused recently to remember Addie Mae “Ruby” Long Hill, one of their former church members, Feb. 15, 1920 – Sept. 1, 1992.
Shady Grove Baptist Church members express Christian love and heartfelt sympathy for to John and Mary Locklear and family in the death of her brother, Tim Albright, Tom and Connie Camp-bell and family in the death of her aunt, Mary Pearl Stone, and Stephen and Bari Camper and family in the death of her uncle, Billy Cagle.
