Childers, Dyess wed
Whittney Lauren Childers of Mobile and Matthew C. Dyess of Semmes were married July 18, 2009, at Rock Creek Baptist Church in Eva.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Childers of Eva. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dyess of Semmes.
Rev. Jeff Allred officiated the ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Brittney Childers, sister of the bride, of Trussville was maid of honor.
Attendants were Ginger Whitaker of Fairhope; Jessica Thompson of Valhermosa Springs; Cara Coggins of Mobile; Tiffanie Bentley of Eva; Brianna Bentley of Eva; and Jenni Dyess, sister of the groom, of Semmes.
Callie Frost of Eva was flower girl.
Cade Taylor of Double Springs was ring bearer.
Bryant Winslett of Mobile was best man.
Groomsmen were John Phillips of Birmingham; Johnny King of Mobile; Stephen Galanopoulos of Nashville; Cody Frost of Eva; Austin Bentley of Eva; Travis Dyess, brother of the groom, of Semmes.
Ushers were Steven Bihss of Mobile; Daniel Dix of Mobile; Chris Murphy of Prattville; Hampton Smith of Mobile
Music was provided by Leann Neal,soloist, of Eva and Will Weaver, pianist, of Eva.
A reception at the church followed the ceremony.
The wedding was directed by Donna Watkins and Marly Smith.
Assisting with the reception were Wendy Shaddix, Amy Weaver, Cynthia Weaver, Claudette Taylor, Ellen Neal, Lucretia Ryan, Angela Hill, Marcy Holmes, Barbara Frost, Rachel Winslett and Bianca Nafe.
Guest book attendant was Allison Dean of Brandon, Miss.
Programs were distributed by Payton Taylor of Double Springs.
After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple will reside in Mobile.
Before the wedding, the couple was honored with a rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom’s parents at All Steak Restaurant in Cullman.
