Burns, Aune to wed
Mr. and Mrs. Randy Burns of Hartselle announce the engagement of Christin Leanna Burns of Houston, Tex. to Robert Parker Aune of Oxford, Miss., son of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Aune of Water Valley, Miss. and Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Parker of Purvis, Miss.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Maner of Trinity and Dorothy Burns and the late J.D. Burns of Hartselle. A 2004 graduate of Hartselle High School, she is a 2008 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Mississippi with bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering.
She is employed with ExxonMobile Global Service Company in Houston, Tex.
The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs, Ernest Aune of Water Valley, Miss. and Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Parker of Purvis, Miss.
A 2005 graduate of Lafayette High School in Oxford, Miss., he is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
He will pursue a master’s degree in materials science at the University of Houston.
The wedding is planned for May 30 at 6 p.m. at West Hartselle Baptist Church.
Clemons, Goss to wed
Lynn Clemons of Hartselle announces the engagement of her daughter, Wendy Leigh Clemons, to Sean Christopher Goss, son of Rev. and Mrs. Michael Gentry of Decatur and the late Donald Goss Jr. of Pensacola, Fla.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Betty H. Clemons of Hartselle, the late Enoch Clemons of Hartselle, Irene Shaneyfelt of Decatur and the late Booth Shaneyfelt.
A 1996 graduate of Hartselle High School, she is a 2002 graduate of Athens State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.
The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Gentry of Lizella, Ga., Rose Goss and the late Donald Goss Sr. of Pensacola, Fla. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Murray Rector of Pensacola, Fla.
A 1992 graduate of Austin High School, he received a degree in electrical engineering in 2007 from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
The wedding is planned for June 6 at Point Mallard Prayer Chapel.
