Funeral for James Edward Sullins, 69, of Decatur was Wednesday, May 13, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Ken Sullins and Leon Lambert officiating.
Burial was in Bell Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Sullins died Monday, May 11, 2009, at his residence. He was born December 9, 1939, in Morgan County to David Lee Sullins and Madgie May Downs Sullins. He was a retired electrician from Brown &Root. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Keith Edward Sullins and Brandon Duwayne Sullins; a brother, Bobby Sullins; a sister, Helen McCown; a step father, John Watwood; and a grandson, Jeremy Heath Sullins.
He is survived by two sons, James David Sullins and Christopher Daniel Sullins, both of Montgomery; a daughter, Melissa Kay Franks of Moulton; four brothers, Dewayne Sullins of Priceville, Leroy Sullins of Laurel, Miss., Gary Sullins of Falkville and Donald Sullins of Valdosta, Ga.; three sisters, Betty Chandler of Oklahoma City, Okla., Yvonne Jackson of Decatur and Shelia Miller of Falkville; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were friends.
