Munger, Ouzts wed
Amanda Nicole Munger of Hartselle and Ralph Donald Ouzts Jr. of Greenville, Miss. were wed Nov. 8, 2008, at Chapel of Memories at Mississippi State University.
The bride is the daughter of Tom and Melanie Munger of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Ralph and Becky Ouzts of Greenville, Miss.
The church was decorated with a large arrangement of fresh cut flowers, candles and greenery.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
She sore a formal designer gown of white satin. The strapless gown was fashioned with a sweetheart neckline. The gown’s focal interest was the asymmetrical shirring of fabric creating the molded bodice and natural waistline. The draping fabric cascaded to gentle folds, falling to a slim A-line skirt, which swept to a chapel train. Covered buttons graced the back of the bodice.
She wore a veil of imported French tulle trimmed with hand-rolled sterling silver thread. The veil was delicately sprinkled with miniature faceted crystals and seed pearls. It was held in place by a handcrafted bridal comb of pearls and crystal rondels.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of pink and peach shaded Gerber daisies and roses.
The bride’s sister, Bree Munger of Hartselle, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Marita Harris, Hattiesburg, Miss., Monica Sessums, Birmingham, Margie Ticer, New Orleans, La. and Kaitlyn Thompson, Hartselle. They wore pink halter style gowns of irredescent taffeta with chocolate colored sashes. They carried bouquets of pink and peach Gerber daisies.
Flower girl was Elle Nassar of Cleveland, Miss.
Best man was Justin Lanford of Starkville, Miss. Groomsmen were Rob Reid, Batesville, Miss.; Nathan Mothershead, Starkville, Miss.; Jeston Thompson, Hartselle; and Briggs Nassar, Cleveland, Miss.
Music was provided by pianist Dr. Jackie Edwards-Henry and vocalist Sara Beth Lewis.
The reception was held at the Hunter Henry Center on the MSU campus.
The bride’s table featured a three-tiered vanilla cake decorated with scrollwork and live Gerber daisies. The table also featured fresh flowers and votive candles.
The groom’s two-tiered chocolate cake was decorated with an MSU Bulldog emblem. The table also featured tiered candlesticks.
The wedding was directed by Jennifer Cummings and Anita Blakney. Beth Raske attended the bridal book.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple will reside in Columbus, Miss.
The couple was honored at several prenuptial events, including:
