Atchley, Giroux to wed
Mr. and Mrs. Rickey Atchley of Somerville announce the wedding of their daughter, Holly Miranda Atchley to Jeffery Michael Giroux, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Giroux of Alabaster.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Atchley of Lacey’s Spring, Mrs. Edna Jennings of Lacey’s Spring and the late Mr. Coleman B. Jennings. She is a 1999 Brewer High School Graduate. She attended Auburn University, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. At Auburn, she was a member of Omega Phi Alpha service sorority, Omega Chi Epsilon honor society, and the Cupola Engineering Society. She is currently employed by Michelin North America in Tuscaloosa, where she works as a Quality Manager.
The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Clement Giroux of Dania Beach, Florida and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Stevens of Daytona Beach, Florida. He is a 1999 graduate of John Carroll Catholic High School. He attended Auburn University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering in 2003. At Auburn, he was a member of Phi Lambda Upsilon honor society, Phi Sigma Phi service society, and a Project Uplift volunteer. He is currently employed by Michelin North America in Tuscaloosa, where he works as a Process Engineer.
The wedding is planned for Aug. 2, 2008 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Birmingham.
Eaton, Tidwell to wed
Brent and Martha Eaton of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Bridget Leigh Eaton to Eric Shane Tidwell, son of Jerry and Linda Tidwell of Town Creek.
The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Sonny and Mary Eaton of Hartselle, the late Howard Dobbs of Somerville and the late Jura Mae Dobbs of Somerville. She is a 2002 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2005 graduate of Wallace State Community College, where she received an applied science degree in health information management. She is currently employed at Huntsville Hospital as a Registered Health Information Technologist Coder.
The future groom is the grandson of the late Travis Tidwell of Cicero, Ill., the late Christine Tidwell of Town Creek, Otis and the late Zoria Lee Simpson of Mount Hope.
He is a 1998 graduate of Hazelwood High School and attended Northwest Shoals Community College. He is currently employed at ENERSOLV Corporation in Decatur as an Organic Chemist and serves as a volunteer firefighter for Courtland Fire and Rescue.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 20, 2008, at West Hartselle Baptist Church.
Groce, Arnett to wed
Carol Pierce Groce of Hartselle and Dr. David Methvin Pierce of Scottsboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristin Elisabeth Pierce to Joshua Paul Arnett, son of John Arnett and Bonnie Proffitt of Enterprise.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Jimmie and Sylvia Walker of Falkville and Nadean Pierce and the late Dr. Harold Pierce of Scottsboro.
She is a graduate of Falkville High School and the University of Alabama, where she received a degree in radiation therapy. She is currently employed by Center for Cancer Care in Huntsville.
The future groom is the grandson of Helen Norton and the late Frank Norton of Daleville and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Arnett of Enterprise. He is a graduate of Enterprise High School and Auburn University, where he received a degree in architecture. He is currently employed by Chapman Sisson Architects in Huntsville.
The wedding is planned for July 26, 2008, at The Chapel at Whitesburg Baptist Center in Huntsville.
