Poem remembers father's love
Editor:
The following was written in honor of Justin Curtis Self.
Our daddy went to heaven
We didn't understand
Daddies don't just go away
They always hold your hand
Although we cannot see him
In our hearts he'll stay
If we ever need him
We bow our heads and pray
We know our daddy's watching
Everything we do
He's our guardian angel
Into our hearts he flew
He smothered us with kisses
And hugged us every day
We were his pride and joy
He wiped our tears away
Our daddy was like Superman
A hero, big and strong
In his forever loving eyes
His girls could do no wrong
Even though we miss him
We know it's not goodbye
One day we'll get to see him
With Jesus in the sky.
