Weddings and Engagements

Beavers, Smitherman wed
Bethany Leigh Beavers of Falkville and William Jarrod Smitherman of Clanton were wed June 30, 2007 at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Falkville. Rev. Greg Compton officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Ron and Charlotte Beavers of Falkville. The groom is the son of Gerald and Tammy Smitherman of Clanton.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal gown of white dolce satin with a sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves. The bodice was embellished with luminous sequins and miniature pearls. The A-line gown swept into a chapel length train embroidered with lace in a floral design.
Her elbow-length veil of white illusion was edged with pearls and beads. She carried a bouquet of pink Titanic roses with pearl-centered stephanotis, accented with ivy.
Emily Beavers of Falkville, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Jessica Beavers of Lexington, cousin of the bride, was the bridal attendant. Attendants wore tea-length dresses of black silk and carried bouquets of pink Titanic roses, accented with ivy and hand-tied with pink satin.
The flower girl was Anna Smitherman of Clanton, cousin of the groom.
The ring bearer was Mitchell Beavers of Rodgersville, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Kevin Smitherman of Clanton, cousin of the groom.
Groomsman was Josh Smitherman of Clanton, brother of the groom.
Ushers were Jeremy Beavers of Lexington, Parker Beavers of Rogersville, Blake Killen of Lexington and Trent Beavers of Lexington, all cousins of the bride.
Rebecca Morgan served as pianist and harpist. Mickey Beavers, uncle of the bride, was a vocalist.
A reception at the church followed the ceremony.
Sylvia Halbrooks was the wedding director. Assisting with the reception were Rhonda Beavers and Connie Beavers, aunts of the bride, Kim Smitherman, aunt of the groom, Amanda Holsomback, Beth Compton, and Jan Washam.
Becky Kilgore served as the bride's book attendant.
Program attendants were Garrett Beavers of Rogersville, cousin of the bride and Galen Smitherman of Clanton, cousin of the groom.
After a honeymoon trip to Point Clear. the couple is residing in Cullman.
A rehearsal party was held at Oh! Bryan's Family Steakhouse in Hartselle. It was hosted by the groom's parents.
